Star Trek Phase II rare logo reproduction
A reproduction of a rarely-seen (and possibly inauthentic?) logo for Star Trek Phase II. I am of the opinion that this was a real but very early temp PR logo. The 'Phase II' name was dropped early in pre-production and it is likely that we would have had a different 'Star Trek II' series logo had the series gone ahead. Of course, history had other plans…

The original. There has been some debate about the authenticity of this logo, which I have only seen on the Trek World YouTube channel. I do believe it is a real but early PR logo, however.
The original typeface is NEW ZELEK which dates back to at least 1974. Also pictured, a 1976 Star Trek playset by Mego, 'Mission to Gamma VI'.
