Doctor Who logo idea (2021)

Realising that Doctor Who has never used ITC Serif Gothic for its title logo, I decided to design one myself…

In my design I used elements of the then current series logo and also the 2005 logo as a nod to RTD's return.

My first 'finished' design more clearly paid homage to the 2005 logo, but ultimately I realised it was too busy. And maybe a bit too Dr. Strange!

The Gallifreyan glyphs incorporated into the design were significant too.
I have no idea if these are in any way 'correct' however; there are many fan-made alphabets and writing systems and I think I used two different ones here.

Another rejected design where I tried to embrace the horror vibe more, but ultimately it's a bit of a mess… and perhaps too Satanic for kid's TV! I liked the infinity symbol though.

For the uninitiated, ITC Serif Gothic is a font that has been used a lot by science-fiction and horror properties, making it perfect for Who, IMO.
